Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Bible Match. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Bible Match Foundation (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the Bible Match mobile application (“App”), you agree to these Terms.
1. 16+ Age Requirement & Eligibility
Bible Match is a community-focused experience designed for users aged 16 and older. *
Strict Age Limit: You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Verification: By registering an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If we discover that a user is under 16, we will terminate the account and delete associated PII immediately.
2. End User License Agreement (EULA)
Scope of License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on any Apple or Android device that you own or control.
Store Terms: This agreement is between you and Bible Match Foundation only. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to this agreement and have no obligation to provide maintenance, support or warranty services for the App.
Optional Communications: By opting in during registration or in your account settings, you consent to receive non-transactional emails from Bible Match Foundation, including App updates and ministry news. You may opt out at any time.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Safety
Bible Match is a supportive environment for scriptural reflection and fellowship. To maintain a safe, Christ-centered environment for our 16+ community, the following standards apply to all UGC, including Reflections, comments, and usernames.
3.1 Prohibited Conduct & Content
You may not post, share, or transmit content that:
Includes profanity, sexually explicit material, or content inconsistent with the App's Christian mission.
Contains hateful, demeaning, or harassing speech directed at individuals or groups.
Is graphically violent or otherwise unsafe for our community.
Is intentionally deceptive or mocks the Word of God (this does not restrict good-faith diversity of Christian perspective).
Constitutes spam, solicitation, or commercial promotion.
3.2 Moderation & Enforcement
In-App Safety Tools: You may Report any content that violates these standards and Block abusive users at any time.
Human & Algorithmic Oversight: We use a combination of automated filters and human moderators to review Community content.
24-Hour Moderation Action: We review flagged or reported content within 24 hours and reserve the right to remove non-compliant content or eject violating users immediately.
3.3 Strike System
Verified violations generally result in an initial 3-day suspension. Repeated violations lead to longer suspensions or a permanent ban. We reserve the right to bypass these steps and issue an immediate permanent ban for severe violations, including but not limited to harassment, explicit content, predatory behavior, or threats of harm.
3.4 License to Display
When you share a "Reflection" or “chat” to the community, you grant us a royalty-free, worldwide license to display that content to other users within that context. Private journal reflections remain strictly confidential and visible to you alone.
4. AI Transparency & "Sacred Prompting"
Synthetic Imagery: We may use AI-powered tools (the "Sacred Prompting" engine) to create visual inspirations. These images serve as artistic, devotional concepts and are not presented as authoritative historical or geographical records. This engine is a backend curation and tagging tool; users do not have direct access to generative AI prompting within the App.
Theological Responsibility: While we strive for biblical accuracy, visual assets are designed to spark reflection. Users are encouraged to search the Scriptures and consult their local church leadership for theological interpretation.
5. Intellectual Property
Ownership: The "Bible Match" name, branding, visual designs, logos, and original devotional prompts are the exclusive property of Bible Match Foundation.
Underlying Technology: The software architecture, algorithm code, and "Sacred Prompting" engine are provided under license by our technology partner, Christian Art Tech LLC. You may not reverse-engineer or scrape data from the App.
6. Account Deletion & Data
You may delete your account at any time via the "Delete Account" button in your Profile Settings. Per our Privacy Policy, deletion will wipe your Email/Name, though shared reflections may remain in an anonymized state ("Deleted User") to maintain community conversation flow.
You retain complete control over your identity. You may permanently delete your account at any time via the "Delete Account" button located directly inside your Profile Settings.
UGC Elimination: All user-generated text reflections, comments, and chat strings explicitly linked to your unique user account ID will be entirely removed from public community views and permanently purged from our active data systems to prevent any residual tracking.
7. Limitation of Liability & Third-Party Claims
As-Is Provision: The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bible Match Foundation and its technical providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App.
Intellectual Property Claims: In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, Bible Match Foundation — not Apple or Google — is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
8: Stewardship & Youth Protection
Bible Match is dedicated to the digital safety and well-being of our community.
We enforce a strict 16+ age threshold and use neutral age-screening methods during onboarding. We do not collect, share, or monetize age data for any purpose outside of verifying platform eligibility.
We deliberately reject addictive design patterns, infinite scrolling, gamified psychological traps, or targeted advertising. Our focus is authentic time spent in the Word, not aimless time in the App.
We monitor evolving state-level youth online safety laws — including Virginia's amendments to its Consumer Data Protection Act addressing minors' use of digital platforms, and Texas's App Store Accountability Act — and will honor any age or parental-consent signals provided to us by app store platforms where legally required.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Christian Mediation: In the event of a dispute, you and Bible Match Foundation agree to first pursue a 30-day "Good Faith" period to resolve the matter through private, biblical Christian mediation prior to filing formal legal action.
Consumer Rights: This does not restrict your baseline right to report urgent security or safety concerns directly to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
10. Feedback & Suggestions
Feedback you submit about the App may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
